It would appear that JH is remaining at Michigan. It has been said the Vikings didn't make him an offer today and that was a deal breaker. In any case, the article I posted a link to is now completely on point. I think there is no way they fire JH at this point. That would be stupid IMHO. I am also not sure I believe that this won't be a recurring problem, as there will be rumors out there even if JH is actually not interested. That said, if JH is "all in" on Michigan, it will be interesting to see what happens going forward.

So if the article says Michigan has to fire Harbaugh because he crossed the rubicon and that's what Bo would have done; and you and I and everyone knows that is not going to happen; I'm not sure how the article is "on point."

If it's on-point because relations are forever strained and they can't recover . . . well, I disagree.  Bo Schembechler, god love him, is a product of his times.  And those times are long gone.  MichiganFan is THRILLED to have Harbaugh "back," even with the 9-hour interview where no offer was made (how contrived/phony is that whole thing, btw?).*  And if Harbaugh continues to win at Michigan at his 10+ clip, they will embrace him and all his foibles and dalliances.  

That's just the world we live in.

* I'd bet good money the bulk of the 9 hours was spent dancing around mutually agreeable terms, with Jim's agent burning the line to the Michigan AD to up the stakes.  At some point, the parties realized it wasn't going to happen, so the official story became "No offer was made by the Vikes.  Jim called AD and said "I'm a Michigan Man forever.  Blah, blah, blah."
