The NIL is the just another log (a very big log) to be added to the bonfire of corruption in college sports.  NIL will accelerate the move to the creation of the GGC Conference (GGC=Graft Greed Corruption), the only rule this conference will have is "there are no rules".  Players will get screwed, a few will not because they are smart enough to con the con artist.  While the GGC is having their way, there will be other conferences created with their own set of rules.  The NCAA will try to maintain some type of control/importance but will go the way of the League of Nations.  Some schools will go the route that University of Chicago, Santa Clara, St. Marys, USF, and University of Northeastern have taken and drop football and other sports.  The GGC Conference will try to overturn Title IX and will look to pack the Supreme Court to allow that to happen.

If the NIL money, TV $$$, Gambling Cash Flow and Athletic Scholarships dry up then maybe there will be a new beginning for college athletics where the nice guys finish first which includes a meaningful degree and a body of knowledge to make positive impact in this world.
