Just watched the 4th quarter again. SMH with how the calls went down the stretch. IMO, the following all should have been no calls:
1) Sabally's 4th. Brink makes a low block move, there is some small body contact but not much there. Arms were straight up and she didn't swipe down. Pretty good d IMO. Sent their best post to the bench.
2) Brink's 4th on a flop by Watson (?). All Cam did was raise her left arm. Nothing to call there.
3) Pinto's foul on Haley's drive where she made the incredible shot from the ground. Pinto moved right with her and there was contact right to her chest. She was actually in position for a charge, but Haley didn't throw a shoulder or anything. Just let it go. Give Haley the bucket and move on.
4) Brink's 5th on Sabally. For sure Brink has to get smarter and not go for too much ball pressure and reaching. Really dumb. But it didn't impact anything. Ticky tack. Just let it go.
In general, I think the refs should let more things go down the stretch. Let the players decide the outcome and get out of their way.
At a higher level, I want the women's game to be more physical and I think all the players want that too.
