I've played his Gleneagles in McLaren Park in The City which is a beast (9 holes, multiple whites so you can play 18) and Pasetiempo (thank God in a scramble). At McLaren except for the par threes it seems like every lie is not level.
Fairfax has a great coffee spot, a good donut place, a couple of restaurants and a citizenry who can be downright impolite at times. Not anywhere as nasty as denizens of Bolinas.
We have an annual exchange with Pasatiempo. It kicks my butt every year. I've never played Meadow but I'm working my network to get out there this year!
MacKenzie was a consultant on the original Stanford design even though William Bell & George Thomas are credited as course architects. When the bunkers were redone a few years ago, they were made "MacKenzie style" to pay homage to him
