For the most part, some folks here have insider information (and are usually proven right), and others merely speculate (and are usually proven wrong). And I'm not really sure what value there is in the latter. Presumably, we'll find out soon where Brown is headed, and if she wants to, I'm sure she'll have the opportunity to explain her decisionmaking process. Until then, wish her the best, and hope she lands someplace where she gets to have a year or two of the on-court experience we all hoped she'd get at Stanford.
I'd say you are spot on. If someone has credible information please share it. If someone enjoys the practice of blind speculation, just keep it to things that might not damage the perception about a person, i.e. - career impacting injuries, academic deficiencies. I definitely have goosebumps about the genuine outpouring of support about a missed senior night opportunity. It will go down as one of the great tragedies of all time. I just think those same senior night sympathizers should think twice before concluding about a college athlete's physical well being and whether or not she academically was able to continue at Stanford. Just my take and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Totally separate note, Lexi will make it. That kid has the stuff. This is completely unverifiable, but I told a friend of mine yesterday not to be surprised if Lexi goes way higher than projected. I was puzzled about drafting both her an Engstler, but regardless I think Lexi is a pro. Stepping off the soapbox and hope everyone enjoys the rest of the evening.
