Met him last month at the Tucson Festival of Books, where he was part of a panel discussing the polarization of the American electorate. He was about to take off but I talked him into staying until my wife could purchase his book (Our First Civil War) and get it signed. Had a nice conversation while waiting; he seemed like a good guy and obviously smart. He also does a lot of commentating on CNN.
