Yes, that would make sense. But what would the rotation look like? It'd be easy to do with the 9-game schedule (playing 3 out of 4 in each of the other two groups) or 7 games (playing 2 out of 4 in each of the other two groups.) But a little tougher with the 8-game schedule the league is probably targeting to be able to schedule "alliance" games against the Big Ten and ACC.
