Yes, that was interesting. The two observations that he made that I found interesting:Â
1) Stanford is one of the tallest teams in football. "Length" is useful for run defense in the 3-4, he said.
2) When asked whether Shaw had done something unique that distinguished his strategy from Harbaugh, he said that Shaw makes even greater use of the big packages on offense--even greater use of tight ends, particularly on obvious passing downs. Interesting, I'm trying to remember if we have seen 3 TE sets much this year.
