It’s a bs way to pay players for playing, and I think the collectives should be banned.  It’s one thing if someone is recruited for a shoe contract or even to be in an ad for a local car dealer, but this sort of thing should be out of bounds.  Pay players directly if you have to (I’m against that as well, but at least it is above board).
