Gordy Soltau doing color, "Hey kids don't forget to send away for your 8x10 glossy pictures of all the 49ers. Included is a brief biological sketch on the reverse side."

Then at night on TV, Fireman Frank and Road Island Red the chicken.

Road Island Red, Scat The Cat, Carl The Carrot, Dynamo Dudley, and Dynamo Dudley’s mom, who was a tin can full of nuts and bolts. Thank God I grew up with Fireman Frank and not Barney the Dinosaur. Sadly my Gordy Soltau trading card has been lost along with YA Tittle, Bob St. Clair, Joe Perry, Billy Wilson, Leo Nomellini, John Henry Johnson, and so many others. Those cards would be worth millions today and would still smell like bubble gum.
