It is a shame when these young women are feeling that playing hinders the healing process. I always found playing as a way to step away from the other pressures in life.
Every situation is unique but seems like when your teammate dies by suicide it wouldn't be surprising that playing and practicing is triggering/causes some kind of ptsd. She's also in a different situation than her teammates as she was with the national team when KM died and didn't get the same opportunities to grieve with her teammates.
