I was expressing my fear, not directly advocating that Shaw be fired. There obviously is no credible case for firing him based on performance. Nevertheless this team is not fun to watch. Shaw's overly controlled, conservative, play-not-to-lose approach is not in the least appealing to me under any circumstances, but it is so much worse in light of the talent and effort being wasted. My Stanford grad daughter who has season tickets watched the ND game with me. She said afterwards she is so bored watching Stanford this year that she will not renew her tickets. I agreed.

My fear is that all the excitement of the resurrection from the 2006 catastrophe will be lost very quickly if this continues.
