Muir can only say Yes Sir, No Sir and Three Bags Full.  He is NOT going to do anything he isn't told to do, or he would have acted long ago.

No, he wouldn’t have acted “long ago”.  Shaw is the most successful coach in Stanford history.  That earned him some equity.  He’s now run through that.  So, it’s time. But the “long ago” line is inaccurate.
