It is certainly possible that Lepolo will struggle on defense, freshmen often do, but how can you know this after one exhibition game?  Or know that if she struggles early she won't improve?  We know Tara greatly values defense so I am going with the assumption that if she or anyone else is a significant liability on defense, she won't play that much.  For that matter we don't know how any player who will be thrust into the roles that the Hulls and Wilson filled on perimeter defense will do when faced with elite opponents.  How will Jones do if she has to guard the perimeter more?  All remains to be seen.
