Arizona over UCLA qualifies as shocking, imo.
As for other games, yes, very glad Oregon lost.
Hard to believe, but does $C control its own CFP destiny???
In a sense, USC does control its own destiny due to the game next week between Utah and Oregon. If USC can beat UCLA next week and get by Notre Dame at home, then they will most likely face the winner of the Utah-Oregon contest in the Pac-12 title game. Of course, this assumes that the winner of Utah-Oregon is victorious in their season-ending "rivalry" game (Oregon vs. the Beavers and Utah vs. the Buffs). If USC wins the Pac-12 championship game, then they would have a shot at the CFP.
Every other Pac-12 team has at least two losses, so USC is the last team standing. If they do win out, they need to hope that the Big Ten and SEC only place one team each and that they don't get leap-frogged by Clemson (the presumptive ACC champ). Then the CFP would probably shape up to be the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac 12 champs. For this to happen, Michigan or Ohio State needs to be blown out in their upcoming contest or get tagged with a second loss. Tennessee needs a second loss. Georgia needs to beat LSU in the SEC title game. And Clemson has to be weak or lose again. USC controls none of this. If Michigan and Ohio State is really close, a one-loss Big Ten team might sneak in. If Tennessee wins out and stands with only one loss vs. Georgia, they might sneak in. If LSU beats Georgia in the SEC title game, then we might see both LSU and Georgia in the CFP (despite LSU's two losses). Lots to shake out still.
As it looks today —- GA, winner of Big Ten, TCU and TN - the only undefeated teams plus a one loss team that was beaten by an undefeated team. Obviously, the key to this scenario is TCU - they must win out to be included. The rest is pretty much set in stone. A loss by TCU would bring the first alternate, USC, into the picture (assuming they win out).
