She’s engaged in some pretty calculating and bad conduct. Appears she got pregnant to try to influence the verdict/sentence while knowing she was going to jail. Terrible situation for the kid, but it’s unclear to me the kid will be in a worse position with this mother in jail. The personality defects might well cause her to be a horrific mother.

The very thought occurred to me (both that her pregnancy might be an attempt for leniency and that, sadly, the child may be better of with mom in prison).

I believe she has one child already, which was conceived just before the start of her trial, now a second one, good lord some people really know how to make life difficult for others.
