I was way off in guessing that she would spend about a year in prison, if even that.

 Between the  Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the need to send a message, she was going to get a stiff sentence.  Figure she will go to a Club Fed….

I suspect they might have originally considered Victorville down by LA, which has two men's prisons, and a women's minimum-security prison. But the Bureau of Prisons will probably put her in Dublin to keep her in proximity to her child(ren) -- same place that Laurie Loughlin and Felicity Huffman served.  BoP also has a MINT (Mothers and Infants Together) program which allows felons who give birth to stay in a re-entry residential center with their child -- for up to three months, then it's back to prison. But the nearest MINT facility is in Phoenix.
