Stood next to Shaw for portions of every home game for 8 years.  He absolutely has a temper.

i'm reminded of the San Diego State game in 2017, which we lost 20-17.  several SDSU players were laughing it up in the first half, since it was obvious to all that Shaw hadn't prepared his offense for what the Aztecs were bringing.  Shaw lost his temper at them, saying something to the effect of, "You are representatives of your university, blah blah blah."

I remember that game. Take away three long runs by Bryce Love and the offense did virtually nothing the entire game (except set up an SDSU touchdown with an interception deep in our own territory). So as you say, it was pretty obvious the offense wasn't prepared.
