For all the politically related build-up leading up to the game, there weren't that many rough or malicious fouls during the game -- if you want to see those, watch how Serbia defended against Brazil's Neymar. Yes, there was a lot of shirt grabbing (both ways) and the Iranians dove a lot trying to draw fouls, I didn't think it was that violent a game.

Yeah, I was struck less by the level of physicality than the politesse between players from opposing teams. After spills or tackles, they seemed unusually willing to check on each other, pick each other up etc.
