$10 million for an NIL deal would change the equation for anybody :). Agree with Spanish Trail - amateur sports as we knew them are changing… And while I think reasonable people can bemoan the loss of the old system, I personally struggle to mourn changes to a system that has been fundamentally unfair to young adult athletes. I know this topic has been beaten to death in other posts…

BTW - I don’t post often but generally love this forum and appreciate the thoughtful participation. Could do without some of the hysteria after a few losses though ?

I agree that the system has been unfair to athletes in the revenue sports like MBB and FB, but how is it unfair to those who can get a paid-for college education in non-revenue sports?

I’m not sure the distinction matters. Why would a non-rev athlete not have the right to benefit from their name/image/likeness?
