Until this past weekend, I didn't think the offense, as a whole, was unpredictable. I haven't analyzed the stats in detail but here's my general "gut" perception from watching the games:
Then WSU happened. Is that a regression of the offense? An aberration in the general trend? What happens coming off of a big rivalry win and facing a supposedly weak team that has had an extra week to prepare? Or is the offense really unpredictable?
- There's a clear progression at home from SJSU to Duke to SC to Arizona. 2nd half of SC and Arizona is probably close to the ceiling for this offense.
- There's a similar progression interleaved in there for the road games -- gradual improvement from UW to ND to Cal.
