If Stanford was 6-1 or 7-0 heading into that WSU game, would attendance have been better?

Hopefully the answer is yes.  Honestly, I can't blame too many people for not wanting to go see one of the most uninspiring offenses in college football, except for the fact the Defense is one of the best in program history.

I would bet the answer is no. Stanford just does not have a big or hardcore following, certainly not hardcore enough to compete with the Giants in the World Series. Evidence for this? Remember last year's Oregon game, with Andrew Luck, with College Gameday, with a shot at the national championship on the line, hyped up around the country for weeks? If you are a Stanford fan, you are coming out for that game, right? Nope - conservatively, 30-40% of the stands full of Oregon fans.
