Most of the NIL being doled out is to help with living expenses.  Given the value of a stanford scholarship, I don’t think Stanford wants to attract players who require top NIL $.  At what point does Stanford bow out of the running for these mercenaries?

We already have. Those types of players would never come to Stanford regardless.
