Here's another name - John Bravman - BS, MS, PhD in MSE at Stanford and former ME prof and VP for Undergrad Education, serving in the latter capacity for several years just before being hired at Bucknell in 2012.  His bio says his current term as Bucknell president (NO political term limit comments, please) ends in 2028, but hey, what's a little buy-out amongst friends, right?  Might be a hard sell as his wife's also in a tenured position there and their boys are in their mid-teens, I think the oldest just starting, or about to start hs.  Otherwise, he's also a great guy, good communicator, solid and well-respected  manager and definitely "gets Stanford".

Please g*d no. Bravman forced FroSoCo down our throats and during my era, many entering freshmen who did *not* request it got stuck there because there was so little demand and then had miserable, isolating freshman year experiences. And many with mediocre draw numbers sucked it up for the two-room doubles (uncommon in my day for any but ~700 draw numbers) but then got stuck without a social life sophomore year.

If FroSoCo is exemplary of Bravman's potential vision for Stanford, I'd donate to Bucknell to help it match or exceed any offer from Stanford.
