Listening to the Niners game last week, I'm wondering, did the pronunciation Bobby Okereke's last name change? At Stanford, I thought it was O Ka Re Key, now it seems to be O Care O Kay. Am I just misremembering?

I had the same thought watching the broadcast. Wondering if the announcer simply butchered the pronunciation.

I thought I heard he'd changed the recommended pronunciation from what we were hearing while he was at Stanford.

Now that's a real reason to change the pronunciation of one's name, unlike that dopey Domer 50 years ago. . . .
