Growing up, I thought soccer was one of the worst sports imaginable. But then I started watching the US Women's Soccer team and I started to like it... didn't really understand it, but at least they were winners, so I occasionally started watching. However, it wasn't until I started playing as an adult where I realized why soccer is the most popular sport in the world. There is so much tactics, athleticism and drama in the game (minus the scoring, of course, haha) that it's a fun game to follow. And the Stanford women's team is a great team to root for - year in, year out, they are competitive and hopefully soon we'll be back in the conversation for a national championship.
