Stanford is a 2 seed opposite #1 seed UCLA. Also on Stanford's side of the bracket are 7 seed South Carolina, 6 seed Mississippi State and 3 seed Brown.

Opener vs. Pepperdine is Friday at 6 pm. TV on ESPN+.

P12 qualifiers - Stanford, UCLA, Colorado, USC, ASU.

ACC had as many qualifiers as the P12 - Clemson, Florida St, UNC, Notre Dame, Pitt. But 4 of those 5 are top 3 seeds with Clemson and FSU as #1s.

I am too lazy to look at the overall bracket, but I don’t think the committee tried very hard. They just took RPI and nibbled around the edges. Color me shocked.

 Xavier and Brown are gross over seeds - Massey #41 and #39.

Mississippi St and SC on our side are #33 and #30, so they aren’t great shakes either. 

I like our odds to get to the rd of 8, but obviously UCLA and a 2 seed does us no favors to get to the College Cup.

One other complaint - our first game is Massey #34 while 7 seed SC gets James Madison Massey …. #100.
