Ultimately what hurt us is that our best win was against 7-seed Santa Clara, with ties against 1-seed UCLA, 3-seed Georgetown, and 8-seed USC. I just don't like putting the first- and second-place teams in the same conference in the same quarter of the bracket, it's not necessary: the seeding is not that precise.Reminds me of the undefeated UCLA team that got a 2 seed two seasons ago. They lost in the 1st round to UC Irvine. Let's hope we bring our A game vs Pepperdine. If we get past that matchup I, like Hieronymus, like our path to regional final. BYU got a 1 seed but actually has a much tougher path to the regional final. They start off having to face a team (Utah State) that actually beat them earlier this season. They may face USC in the 2nd round, and if they make to the regional final they may very well face North Carolina, which played one of the hardest schedules in the country and never trailed in any game at the 90 minute mark. I'll take our 2 seed over BYU's schedule.
