Any thoughts on this class?Gisele has been practicing with Angel FC (the same team her sister passed us up for) and has even played preseason games with them. She's outstanding but not the USWNT prospect that Alyssa was when she decided to skip college. It's also not likely that she would make the USWNT roster for the upcoming Olympics by turning pro (as Alyssa did for the World Cup). So I would hope she would still choose college. But there's nothing on her Instagram referencing Stanford whatsoever though so it doesn't look good. This would be the 3rd recent recruit turning pro over Stanford (Onyeka Gamero signed with Barcelona's B team over Stanford in June). I'm a little surprised as Ratcliffe certainly does a good job developing world class players.
With Gisele we had the #1 class as ranked by TopDrawerSoccer. We'd still be pretty high without her. Three top 15 recruits is nothing to sneeze at. The student athletes that have signed are:
F Jaden Thomas (FC Dallas – No. 9)
D Ella Emri (San Diego Surf – No. 13)
M Charlotte Kohler (MVLA – No. 15)
M Samantha ("Sammy") Smith (Boise Thorns – No. 27)
D Elizabeth ("Lizzie") Boamah (Albion SC (CA) – No. 33)
GK Kaiya Jota (LA Breakers FC – No. 182)
D Sophie Murdock (MVLA - 3 star)
And by the way, I already love Jaden Thomas' family. This was her commitment photo!
