Congratulations to Stanford Women's Soccer! Headed to North Carolina next weekend for the College Cup!
The game winning goal in OT was a thing of beauty. You will have to watch it several times to figure out what happened. Stellar play.

Yes, beautiful play. As someone who knows nothing about the sport, it looked like the Nebraska goalie was out too far from the goal.
I don’t fault their goalie too much there. She is expecting an Aikey shot, not that slick flip behind her.
Overall, the team played well but didn’t finish very well. Especially Kitahata. Obviously a bad Campbell error on the goal. Nebraska was comprehensively outplayed, but had some threatening moments.
- the left side struggled some today in general
- Doms and Aikey were flipped a lot today. Not sure why? Too many Doms turnovers? Just shaking it up?
- my question on space ended up answered as we pushed them so far back most of the time it wasn’t an issue
- I thought Harvey was pretty good today
- Montoya needed to pull the trigger faster a couple of times today
Watching UNC now and yeah BYU is not having a good day. However, the UNC goals have all been garbage. First was a lollipop header on a corner over the post defenders head, but the goalie just watched it go in. Second was off a BYU defenders backside deflection after a bad turnover. And the third the goalie misjudges a well hit FK though from a wide angle and it bounces off her hands in. The UNC wings though have caused a bunch of problems for BYU, and BYU has really struggled defensively all over.
The next game is going to be at a whole next level. We have had it pretty easy up until now.
