The non-conference scheduling proves Stanford can run up the score against creampuffs.  Once we get into conference it will be a different ballgame against some opponents.

Well, San Diego State did beat Davis this year.  Davis is not the usual Davis, for some reason.  Even so, we need some "creampuffs" at this time of year to give the freshmen opportunities to play and adjust to the college level.  The hope is that by now they will be strong enough to play against conference opponents--but freshmen always need a transitional period.

So yes, we have had some creampuffs, but we have also had the 14th toughest schedule so far in the country.  Indiana, Duke, Florida State, and Gonzaga are not lightweights.  For comparison, here is the strength of schedule so far for the Pac 12 schools:

Agree, it's been a balanced preseason schedule that has provided some tough competition along with some creampuffs. Personally, I would have liked the team to have played one more tough away game on the opponent's court. Indiana and Duke were home games and FSU was a neutral site. The game at the Kennel was great until Cam got sick. Just don't think we've had enough hostile-arena type experience to battle test us before the conference schedule starts. Road wins are going to be so important.
