Might have been a couple things going on here. First, Utah obviously works a lot on taking charges. I think Jenna Johnson attempted around 6 just herself. Cam and Kiki could go around the Utah players if there was room, but any attempt at a power move would result in a flop by Utah (and a pretty decent chance they'd call a foul on Cam/Kiki). I bet Tara told them to just shoot the mid range because of that and...Second, it's an effective strategy to just get the ball up on the backboard when you have such a rebounding advantage. A miss is almost like a pass.
