It was the Cam hustle play to keep the ball from going out of bounds. She tipped it from the front court to Hannah in the back court but it wasn't called an over and back. Stanford had possession the entire time. The announcers were busy talking about the hustle play but Charmin Smith was in the ref's ear. Right after that Cam was clearly fouled and lost possession but there was no call by the ref. I was wondering if that was a make-up call. Does anybody else remember that sequence?

YES! I spent a ton of time looking for this yesterday and couldn't find it. I'd written down "close to the 6 minute mark of Q2" in a note to myself, but I thought I must be mistaken. That was very confusing AND impressive as all get out!
Cal game Q2 6:26. It was a correct call. No backcourt. On an offensive rebound, Brink tapped it away from the lane, then chased it down and tapped it just before it went out of bounds to Jump in the back court. Once the ball leaves the hand of a shooter, there is no team control until a player gains control. Tapping a rebound is specifically covered. We did not have team control after the shot went up until Jump got it in the backcourt.
Awesome! And thanks for the explanation.
Start of the possession: https://youtu.be/UTX424BZnmU?t=1324 Looks like that link got hijacked. Arrgh.
Now watched it several times and it still amazes me. Too bad nothing came of it.
