I thought Stones was actually pretty balanced in his call. He didn't ignore Whittaker. At the start of the third lap, he says, "she is getting all she can handle from Juliette Whittaker, the sophomore from Stanford who is right there with her."

Did you hear his comment at the end of the race? Saying that Rose should get all of the credit for the race?

I did. Sounded like a high jumper announcing a middle distance race... ;)

Stones can be snarky. I wonder if he was implying that Rose didn't run a particularly smart race, given that Whitaker drafted Rose for most of the latter part of the race? Regardless, it was a new meet record and a personal best by almost two seconds. I thought Whitaker ran a really strong, really smart race.
