As I just posted Whittaker is the indoor recorder at Stanford for the Mile
Her indoor mile record is 6 seconds faster than the school outdoor record which is seldom run
Her 1500 time is just  outside the outdoor top 10 mark.
That said agreeing with you GK

She is clearly talented, and as she gets older the mile/1500 may become her event.  That said, I think the mile was a "soft" record, now it is not. I think she could take 2 or 3 seconds off her 800 time before she leaves Stanford. Willis too could drop it further.  Interesting that both Willis and Whittaker have run the 800 faster indoors than outdoors.  Makes it likely the outdoor record will fall this year.  Same for the mile since it sits and 4:36 and change. The 1500 record is a little tougher, but both Willis and Whittaker probably have a shot at it.  Nice to have two such gifted young women in the 800.  Their best is certainly ahead of them.
