Let me be clear: I am thrilled that Kyle Smith is our coach. BUT, he's basically just a solid coach. At USF he was 28-24 in the WCC and at WSU he was 49-48. His past performance isn't really much to brag about.

WSU’s cumulative record for the five years prior to Smith’s arrival was 58-98.  

That tells me that Smith did a terrific job at WSU.  Given the resources available, I fully expect that he will have an even greater impact at Stanford.
