I had season's tickets for the Blazer's world championship season.
Watching a Portland fast break, keyed by a brilliant Walton outlet pass
and finished by Bobby Gross, Lionel Hollins, or Johnny Davis,
was among my most sublime moments in sports fandom.
And all of us knew we would win that final game.
The big print headline Oregonian's front page, after the Blazer's game five win in Philly,
read "WE'LL WIN IT ON SUNDAY!"
