Sorry to dig up old threads but I was traveling last week and hadn't had a chance to watch the full Oregon game until last night. Plus while I kept reading the board on my phone, I wasn't too keen on posting with that tiny keyboard.
The most incredible thing to me about the Stanford D was how their performance transformed Kelly's game plan in to something quite normal. By the latter part of the first half, Oregon's play calling looked fairly "normal". Sure, there still was a bit of the hurry-up stuff, but no going for it on 4th down, no gratuitous 2-pt conversion attempts, and even attempts at low-probability field goals.
