If you have to rely on gimmicks to get people who are not Stanford football fans to come into the stadium for reasons other than watching the football team, count me out.
You constantly refer in a derogatory manner to Stanford students/alums as "narrow minded" and "professional nerds." I resent that. Continually trying to put down Stanford alums is not going to help sway those viewers of this thread over to your way of thinking.
Your posts are making me think it might be better for Stanford to get out of the race for big-time football and focus more on bringing in student athletes who play their sport for the love of it.
