Even though I lived in Texas, Stanford became my team.

Another one from Texas! :)  I think that makes at least four? of us that I remember on this board...

This is not an obscure solution: winning brings fans, winning brings exposure, and winning is all that matters in football.  And that takes talented young men and insightful, effective coaches.  Stanford Football already has everything else.
