There's a rumor online that Stanford-ND will happen this year in the Rose Bowl.

Stanford and Notre Dame both have 11 games on their 2025 schedules, and Notre Dame is scheduled up until 11/8. 10/11 is a possibility for both.

Why would either team do this? I get that the Rose Bowl holds 89,702 but do they think they can sell that many tickets? Or do the teams just want exposure in SoCal?

ND plays in LA every other year already, not sure what incentive for a game there would be unless it is a bigger cut of the ticket sales than a game here.  If it did happen it would mean five home games for us, which might be a win for season ticket buyers....
