NFL teams have 8 or 9 road games and Stanford will only have 6....of course we took Hawaii (~5k miles RT) as a non-conference game when we could have picked someone closer, but we have a bye the next week. We also three road games before school starts, although the BYU game is similar travel to the old Pac-12 games. And we get SJSU and Cal at home this year where they were two of our road games last year which cut down on travel in 2024.
I assume some of the NFL teams had games in Europe, which if it is a west coast team is a lot of miles.
