We "sold our soul" to TV long ago.  Consider all the actions that have put increased pressure on students that were basically to "increase content".

1) Expanding from 11 to 12 regular season games.
2) Conference championships
3) Pac-12 after dark (imagine getting back to campus at 3 am on Sunday morning after a late game at the Palouse)
4) Games on weekdays
5) Playoffs
6) Playoff expansion
7) Previous conference realignments
