Have the coaches never heard of flu shots? Not COVID. I get one every year.

First, I don’t think coaches can mandate a flu vaccine.  Second, “flu” gets used loosely; he may not have influenza.  Third, the influenza vaccine is only about 50 - 80% effective.  The most recent year, it seems to have been particularly ineffective, if the experience in the southern hemisphere can be extrapolated (https://www.flu.com/Articles/2024/2024-2...ectiveness).

But still, you should get vaccinated.  The benefits of preventing illness in yourself and those close to you who you might infect vastly outweigh the risks of vaccination.
