I think the fact that it is a1-year interim contact will hurt recruiting a lot. It is very important for players to know who will be coaching them and the style of offense/defense they will be utilizing.

With the portal, is that even true?  Based on the number of times I have heard “so-and-so, formerly Texas Tech recruit by way of North Carolina…” I would guess that fewer than half of players spend all four years at a school.

If this works out, Luck will have earned legend status early on.  I wonder if this means April is moving on?  It decisions seems to say either April had no interest or Luck had no interest.  As someone else said, I don't see this helps us at all with recruiting or retention.  Sort of makes Andrew the lead recruiter in a big way. It may well be a positive in terms of Brown and Bachmier.  Chance to learn from a guy who played QB for 14 years in the NFL and developed some really good QBs.
