The piece is actually pretty well written *for a 16 year-old*, but it is also written *by a 16 year-old*.  Like, great for him, but what even is SI these days?

A shell of its former self, for sure.  After a slow decline, Time, Inc. sold the magazine in 2018, and the decline has only since accelerated.
