Another thought I had was that the main goal of the "retaining the coaching staff" approach is to retain April. Any talk of Reich or Luck "assessing" the current staff might have sent April bolting. If I'm correct, we might see some staff attrition and replacement before fall camp begins.
Excellent point on staff attrition, especially self-initiated by the staff themselves. In addition to both Reich and Luck assessing how the staff is performing there are two other non-coaching former Stanford players currently on staff with NFL playing experience, Tank Williams and Jordan Richards, both outstanding players during their respective college careers.
