Did anyone else gulp when they realized the Rose Bowl's PER TEAM payout was $17M?  That's a of extremely large proportions chunk of change.

Cal's share would pay for about 1/6th of Tedford's buyout. Oregon will help with another 1/12th or so. :P

Anyone know how the back-end financing works? How much of that money the bowl has to come up with vs. how much the BCS pitches in etc.
