i thought the dance was great - for a few moments, the most fun at a stanford football game in years - and the ref was a sourpuss. i'll take a few mistakes to have an upbeat team rather than the recent morose teams.

also not that long: timing it from the video replay, the camera pans to the crowd applauding at 3.5  seconds. when the camera pans back at 5.5 seconds, the ref is touching patterson's arm - presumably cautioning - and he has already stopped dancing.
