#2 Yes, the Transfer Portal HURT the first three years badly, but this year we started to turn it around with 17 inbound, and they are playing.  Gulbranson, CJ Williams 

We need another 2 years of transfer reinforcements to steady the ship, but he's right. 6 of our starters vs. SJSU were transfers acquired this offseason (Gulbranson, Williams, High, Prongos, Barth, Johnson), and 2 more starters came in last year (Patterson, Green). And it should've been even more if not for the injury bug (Pantelis, Mejia, Fattig, Galvan, Washington). 

I would've never believed just a few years ago that in the immediate future Stanford would have double-digit transfers, let alone starters.
